2008 De Bortoli Pinot Noir Yarra Valley

March 4, 2015 wholder

156929This wine is the mid point offering (of five pinot noirs) from one of Australia’s most respected family run wineries.  Leaning to a more savoury than sweet style, there’s still plenty of Yarra Valley fruit to appreciate.  Steve Webber’s restrained touch is all over this almost Burgundian effort.  Just a great value given the quality and lengthy finish.  Extra applause for the low alcohol level (13%) as well.

($45 BCLCB) Very Good
