I was hoping to find this wine over delivered for its very reasonable price, but was left with an “it’s ok” reaction.  Given the vintage, there was reason to hope that this Cru Bourgeois might soar above the usual, but I didn’t find that to be the case.  An accessible Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend with decent fruit, it might have benefitted with a bit of decanting time.  Not bad, okay, fine for a mid-week evening in – you get the picture – damming with faint praise.
