A Hallowe’en wine if there ever was one, this Saldo was another intense offering from Orin Swift with the wine now forming part of the stable of The Prisoner Wine Company.  Dark, intense, spicy, this is up your alley if you like a rich and concentrated Zin buoyed by nimble acidity.  Chocolate, vanilla, and dark cherry jam, all come out of the treat bag.  Just as in overdoing those mini chocolate bars collected door to door, you could tire of this if you pulled the cork night after night, but light that blaze in the fireplace, bring out a ghost story or two, and sip this one till the witching hour.
